Vecchia Locanda

We arrived at the Merulana, the hotel we stayed at the last time in Rome, just before noon, had lunch and then a nap as we did not sleep on the plane.  At lunch at a small local pizzeria (excellent pizza), our waiter told us we could take the number 64 bus to most attractions in Rome.  He said that Romans rarely take it.  It usually has about 35% tourists and the rest are pickpockets and thieves!  After watching us and another couple studying our maps he commented that being a tourist is hard work - and he is right! Refreshed, we hopped the Metro to the Spanish Steps sauntered to the Trevi Fountain and then to the Pantheon admiring the now floodlit structures.  After a wonderful dinner outdoors and in shirtsleeves at the Vecchia Locanda  we then strolled (brisk walk) for almost 2 hours taking in the floodlit sites of Rome , arriving at our hotel just after 2300h.  We marvelled at how pleasant Rome was in the sunshine!  The last time we were here there was a deluge and some old guy called Noah was building a huge boat behind the Vatican.

Він сказав , що римляни рідко приймають його . Він зазвичай має близько 35 % туристів , а решта кишенькових злодіїв і злодіїв ! Після перегляду нас і іншу пару вивчення наших картах він зазначив , що , будучи туристом це важка праця - і він правий! Оновлений , ми стрибали на метро до Іспанських сходів побрів до фонтану Треві , а потім у Пантеоні милуючись тепер освітлених структур. Після прекрасного вечері на відкритому повітрі і в сорочці на Vecchia Locanda ми тоді гуляли ( швидка ходьба ) протягом майже 2 годин, беручи в освітлених пам'ятників Риму , прибуття в наш готель відразу після 2300h . Ми дивувалися , як приємно Рим був у світі! Востаннє ми були тут був потоп і деякі старі хлопець на ім'я Ной будував величезну човен за Ватиканом.

Llegamos al Merulana , el hotel nos alojamos en la última vez en Roma, poco antes del mediodía , almorzamos y luego una siesta , ya que no pude dormir en el avión. En el almuerzo en una pequeña pizzería (excelente pizza) , nuestro camarero nos dijo que podíamos tomar el autobús número 64 a la mayoría de puntos de interés de Roma. Dijo que los romanos rara vez lo toman . Por lo general, tiene aproximadamente 35% de los turistas y el resto son los carteristas y ladrones ! Después de ver a nosotros y otra pareja estudiar nuestros mapas comentó que ser un turista es un trabajo duro - y tiene razón ! Renovados , cogimos el metro hasta la Plaza de España se paseó a la Fontana de Trevi y el Panteón admirando las estructuras ya iluminadas. Después de una maravillosa cena al aire libre y en mangas de camisa en la Vecchia Locanda entonces caminamos ( caminata ) por casi 2 horas , teniendo en los sitios iluminadas de Roma, llegando en nuestro hotel justo después de 2300h . Nos maravillamos de lo agradable que Roma estaba en el sol! La última vez que estuvimos aquí hubo un diluvio y un viejo llamado Noé estaba construyendo un barco enorme detrás del Vaticano .
